Roofs Along the Danube
Leaving the woods and entering different human worlds’ images sometimes make no sense, sometimes make me wonder “how did they do that?” …. Cruising the Danube River from Bucharest to Budapest with a stop in Istanbul found these roofs photo worthy.
The contrast and similarities in architecture through the three religions (Islam, Orthodox and Catholic) is remarkable. (click a photo to see higher resolution full size)
























I’m lost in geography and architecture. I could use a narrative to go with each photo! And, so many twinsy towers. I’m sure there’s a reason, I just don’t know it. Thanks for sharing.
