Farm-side golden hour
… and a lake-side sunrise with unusual birds.
A very cold April morning with temperatures in upper 20s and a short window of clear skies painted a series of wonderful skies above farms around the lakes.

Sunrise on the lake was also spectacular, and earlier before the sun Venus was shining above the clouds and the sun peeking underneath – unfortunately, light was too faint to photograph.
Birds were all building nests and foraging as much food as possible. Muted swans upside down are precious and this masked grebe dove as soon as it caught a good breath
Getting out and about for sunrise and pre-dawn golden hour makes for a great day!
