October clouds & fog @ Spencer’s Butte

Spencer’s Butte is a great close-in park to get in a good hike regardless if you want to do 3-5 miles or 9-10 miles (tho the longer ones require some step retracement) – if you live in Eugene, OR that is.

So far in October, I rambled around Spencer’s 2x, and both times were foggy and cloudy for some part of the trip. Being at the very southern end of Willamette Valley sets up these days of fogged / clouded in lower elevations while the hilltops are above both … just remarkable and common in OR.

As nice as this park is and how close-in, there’s always a reminder that not everybody is enthusiastic about sharing this
