While walking around town this morning, chasing photos, the contrast between natures power and beauty and the humans’ stupidity smashed me full on.
Flowers
A couple of wonderful flowers from around the neighborhood and some even have some bees.
Osprey
An osprey (possibly a youngster) was screaming from its perch (which was quite weird), and an empty nest nearby.
Fire smoke
The Bedrock fire (just east of Eugene) still burns, and even though the winds are pushing the smoke into Central Oregon, the smoke is visible.
Stupid humans
With everything we know about recent fires in Oregon and our surprisingly at risk water supply, people still think that watering sidewalks and flooding lawns is a sound practice. I’m skeptical on that one.
Maybe take your shower in the sprinkle system! The birds will!
