A couple of mornings walking around town camera in hand found a few birds holding still in the cold, grey day. Even an odd bush flower was still blooming in early January (a camellia?).
A Blue Heron (Cornell reference) standing on one leg above the water – looks like just trying to stay warm, not fishing.

For a brief moment, there was even blue sky.
