Spencer Skies – late October 21

On a gear test hike the last week of October, the skies were again remarkable. Early was grey, layered clouds and rain in the distance. After several hours, the sky opened up w/ patches of blue as the heavier grey broke-up over the hills. A surprise was if one looks closely, the fire smoke from the Oakridge area fires is still visible – image #7 below (after material rain last few weeks).

Fall colors were exploding leaving no confusion that winter is coming …
