Pre’s Trail on typical fall day
Pre’s Trail, part of Alton Baker Park, is a great place to run, walk, glide or however one covers ground – without help of wheels. With all the rain recently, Oregon’s green is back and the bark dust trails welcoming … a great way to spend a rainy fall day.
The ducks agreed – it’s beak is almost blue 🙂 (click for better resolution if rounded corners)
I spent several hours (about 10 miles without a car) on the trails while it rained a couple of times and the sun came out – tiny. There were only a few runners and dogs on the trails – too much rain? Only a couple of UofO sports teams were training on the trails – real runners.
Fall flowers were blooming just perfectly
The cormorants were holding a conference call on the log … a couple immediately left the log in a disagreement?
Several Great Blue Herons were hunting on the Mill Race section of the trail, and for some weird reason that I can’t figure out … they like to perch in trees – can’t fish / hunt from there.
