East of Brownsville on Northern

After a busted backpacking trip that never got started (Red Flag Warnings, T-Storms, rain, etc …), I hopped on the Salsa gravel bike and headed out on an OR scenic bikeway to Brownsville and then out east of town on Northern – a great ride out of Brownsville.

I left home around 6:30 and traffic was thin all the way to Brownsville where I stopped for lunch at the historical park.

The treat was heading out further east on Northern.

The valley was hazy at best, smoky at worst. Ag dust was just rolling upward from almost every farm.

As I came back into town, construction held traffic and I hid under a tree. Then, I looked up

By the time I arrived back home around 12:30, it was HOT and time to go inside.
